  • Grain yields in Ukraine are expected to decrease this year - forecast
    Опубликовано: 2023-07-19 16:06:56

The yield of grain crops in Ukraine is expected to decrease this year, but not more than 5% compared to last year. This was announced by Taras Vysotsky, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, during his participation in the nationwide United News marathon.

According to Vysotsky, it is too early to draw final conclusions, as this year there is a delay in vegetation, ripening and harvesting by about 2-3 weeks. However, if we look at the harvesting phase, the yields are still slightly lower than last year.

Currently, grain yields are estimated to be lower by about 10-15%, but more observations will be needed in the coming weeks to make more accurate predictions. In general, after harvesting at least the early grain group, yields are expected to decline, but not more than 5% compared to last year.

Delayed vegetation and weather conditions should be taken into account, as the early grain harvest is not expected to be finished until August. Agricultural producers are closely monitoring the situation and hope for favorable harvest conditions.

The decline in grain yields may affect the market situation, but focusing on an accurate assessment of the impact of factors such as weather and agricultural technology is an important task for professionals and farmers. The development of the agricultural sector requires constant monitoring and analysis to ensure that food production remains stable and efficient.
