In 2024, the salaries of drivers employed in the agricultural sector increased by 17% compared to the previous year. According to a study by the company *Agrohub*, the average monthly income of these employees, excluding bonuses, reached 24.6 thousand hryvnias.

The growth in salaries was recorded among all categories of drivers, but the greatest increase was observed among bus and passenger car drivers - their income increased by 22%, reaching 20.4 thousand hryvnias per month. Payments to truck drivers increased the least, but they remain the highest-paid category - an average of 29.3 thousand hryvnias per month, which is 14% more than in 2023.

The bulk of truck drivers are involved in the transportation of vehicles with a carrying capacity of 6 to 16 tons and more. At the same time, the share of heavy-duty transport increased in 2024: if in 2023 there were 17% of such vehicles, now this figure has increased to 24%.

The salary of refuelers has also increased significantly. In 2024, they received 23.6 thousand hryvnias per month, which is 18% more than last year. In most cases, the remuneration of drivers is of a combined nature - it consists of a fixed salary and a piecework part, which depends on the cost of transporting a ton of cargo and the carrying capacity of the transport.

The study also showed that the average monthly wage fund in the agricultural sector increased by 21%. In 2023, it was 35.5 hryvnias per hectare, and in 2024 it reached 43.14 hryvnias. At the same time, bonus payments remained at the level of the previous year and amounted to about 5% of the average monthly income.

So, despite the general economic challenges, the wages of drivers in agriculture are showing steady growth. Experts predict that this trend will continue, especially given the growing demand for qualified specialists in the field of transportation.
