In the first month of 2024, Ukraine recorded a significant increase in trade turnover by 7%, amounting to $8.5 billion. These impressive figures became known thanks to data from the State Customs Service, which confirm positive trends in the country's economy.

It is noted that in January 2024, Ukraine imported goods worth $5.1 billion and exported goods worth $3.4 billion. These data indicate an active turnover of goods both in the domestic and foreign markets.

One of the key indicators is taxable imports, which reached $4.5 billion in January, accounting for 90% of total imported goods. The tax burden on taxable imports also increased by 38% year-on-year, amounting to $0.49 per kilogram of goods.

Most goods were imported to Ukraine from China, Poland, and Germany, which confirms the country's wide range of trade ties with different regions of the world. On the other hand, Ukraine's exports were mostly directed to European countries such as Poland, Spain, and China.

In the structure of imports, the largest share was made up of machinery, equipment and vehicles, chemicals, and food products. On the export side, the highest exports were in the food sector, metals, and mineral products.

Thus, the high level of trade turnover in January indicates the stability and activity of Ukrainian exports and imports, which contributes to the development of the national economy and the expansion of international trade relations.
