Ukraine's grain exports in 2022/23 marketing year reached almost 49 million tons. These data were released by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, ProAgro Group reports.

According to the State Customs Service, the volume of grain exports this season exceeded the previous year's figures by almost 650 thousand tons.

As of June 30, 16,836 thousand tons of wheat were exported, which is 1.9 million tons less than a year ago. Barley exports amounted to 2,704 thousand tons, which is 3 million tons less than in the previous season. However, corn supplies reached 29,128 thousand tons, exceeding last year's figure by more than 5.7 million tons. In addition, 18 thousand tons of rye were exported, which is nine times less than in the previous season.

It was also noted that the export of grain flour (including wheat) reached 153.6 thousand tons, which is twice as much as in 2021/22 marketing year. In general, these figures indicate a significant increase in foreign trade in grain products.

Grain exports from Ukraine continue to be an important industry sector that contributes to the attraction of foreign currency and the development of the agricultural sector.
