The state enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" plans to purchase goods and services for a total amount of 3.2 billion hryvnias in 2025. Among the main areas of expenditure are specialized vehicles, IT equipment, construction, fuel and electricity. This was reported by the company's press service.
To effectively use funds, "Forests of Ukraine" announced a comprehensive update of approaches to organizing procurement. Since March 2025, the team responsible for conducting tenders has been working under the leadership of Mykhailo Stayetsky, a specialist with experience in the public procurement system of "Ukrposhta". His task was to increase the transparency and effectiveness of procurement processes.
One of the steps towards openness was to update the procurement page on the company's website. There, open meetings with potential tender participants will be announced, in particular those related to complex or atypical procurements. Internal monitoring has also been introduced - a separate role has been created in the electronic procurement system to analyze the work of regional offices and provide them with methodological support.
According to the management, one of the improvement tools will be the introduction of internal ratings of local purchasers. Such a system will allow identifying the most effective specialists, motivating the team and implementing uniform standards. As Staetsky notes, a similar practice has already shown high efficiency in Ukrposhta, where, thanks to centralization, the procurement team took second place in the rating according to the customer index in 2024.
In financial terms, the company has planned: UAH 1.15 billion for fuel and energy resources, UAH 872 million for the construction and modernization of infrastructure, UAH 590 million for the purchase of special equipment and spare parts, UAH 207 million each for forest protection vehicles and IT equipment and software. Another UAH 174 million is for other related expenses.
Thus, “Forests of Ukraine” is not only modernizing its material base, but also reforming the public procurement system, focusing on best management practices and transparency. This should increase the efficiency of the company and strengthen trust in its activities from partners and the public.
