Rapeseed on the Ukrainian market is gradually becoming more expensive under the influence of situational demand, although no significant price fluctuations were observed last week. At the same time, the difference in offers, depending on regions and buyers, is becoming increasingly noticeable.
The main driver of the increase in prices for rapeseed residues was the activity of export-oriented companies. High demand from such enterprises created opportunities for local exceeding of established market purchase price ranges. Individual transactions were carried out at increased rates, which indicates a shortage of available products for export.
Processors also continued to buy rapeseed, although their interest was less active compared to exporters. Depending on the region, individual offers from processing enterprises were voiced within the range of 21,000–23,500 UAH/t CRT. Despite the lower dynamics, such activity allows maintaining stable turnover of products on the domestic market.
Experts note that the price situation may change depending on further demand on external markets. Rapeseed remains one of the key oilseed crops that Ukraine exports in large quantities. This dependence on external buyers, particularly in wartime conditions, continues to affect pricing policy.
In addition, logistics remains an important factor affecting the rapeseed market. Given the difficulties with transportation, many companies are optimizing their supply chains, which can also lead to local price jumps.
Thus, the rapeseed market in Ukraine demonstrates stable dynamics, although it depends on situational changes in demand. In the future, we should expect more active competition between exporters and processors, which may affect the further growth of prices in the sector.
