According to Ukrzaliznytsia's Commercial Operations Department, the transfer of grain cargo at border crossings in western Ukraine increased significantly between October 1 and 8. Noting this trend, Valeriy Tkachev, Deputy Director of the Commercial Department of Ukrzaliznytsia, shared the relevant data.

The average daily transfer rate of grain cargo and cake at the borders is an impressive 519 railcars per day. In October, this figure increased by +40 cars per day, which is an increase of +8.35%.

Over the past month, the transfer of grain wagons to different countries is as follows:

Poland receives 122.26 wagons per day, which is an increase of +15.86 wagons per day or +14.91% compared to the previous month. Of this figure, 64.26 cars are transferred on 1520 mm gauge, and 58 cars are transferred on 1435 mm gauge.

Romania receives 132.13 wagons per day, which means an increase of +13.09 wagons per day or +11% compared to the previous month. Of these, 45.76 cars are transferred on a 1520 mm gauge, and 86.37 cars on a 1435 mm gauge.

Hungary receives 41.13 cars per day, which is a decrease of -30.11 cars per day or -42.27% compared to the previous month. Of this figure, 14.25 cars are destined for 1520 mm gauge, and 26.88 cars are transferred to 1435 mm gauge.

Slovakia receives 84 wagons per day, which represents an increase of +5.27 wagons per day or +6.69% compared to the previous month. Of this figure, 37 wagons are destined for 1520 mm gauge transfer and 47 wagons for 1435 mm gauge transfer.

Evidence from this report indicates a positive development in the transfer of grain cargo on Ukraine's western border in October. This is important news for the country's agricultural sector and the global grain market. At the same time, the development and improvement of border crossing infrastructure is one of the key initiatives to ensure the efficient transfer of grain cargo and other goods internationally.
