Agrain plans to increase the storage of grain in plastic bags to 50-55 thousand tons. This information was published on the agricultural producer's Facebook page, ProAgro Group reports.
According to the director of Elevator Agro, Sergiy Nazarov, the use of polyethylene sleeves for grain storage is not yet planned for mass use, but is considered as a backup option in case of increasing grain intake.
"Storage of grain in sleeves has always been relevant during intensive harvesting and slow shipment. It becomes especially important during the corn harvest, as the elevators are already full of early crops during this period," explained Sergiy Nazarov.
According to the director, this approach allows to optimize the processes of grain acceptance and storage, ensuring effective control over supplies and grain quality. In the event of a significant increase in grain harvesting, this storage system can be very useful to ensure reliability and provide the necessary volumes of grain reserves.
This initiative will allow Agrain to increase its preparedness for increased grain handling and storage during periods of intensive harvesting and ensure stable supply to the market. This approach can help optimize the supply chain and ensure efficient use of resources.
