Swiss food giant Nestlé continues to actively develop its presence in Ukraine, investing more than 900 million hryvnias in the modernization of production facilities in 2024. Thanks to these investments, the company managed to significantly increase export volumes, which increased by 76% compared to the previous year.
As reported by the Nestlé press service, the funds were directed to increasing the level of employee safety, automation and digitalization of production processes, improving working conditions, updating the infrastructure of enterprises and measures to reduce the carbon footprint. Particular emphasis was placed on staff training and the implementation of modern technological solutions.
"Despite all the challenges, we not only maintained deliveries to 28 countries around the world, but also significantly expanded exports. The growth in physical volumes was 76%, and in hryvnia equivalent - 128%," the company said in a statement.
One of Nestlé’s key projects in Ukraine is a new factory in the village of Smolyhiv in Volyn, which is currently in the final stages of construction. It is expected to start operating in 2025, marking another important step in the company’s development in the region.
The opening of the new facility will further expand Nestlé’s export capabilities. In particular, 80% of the products manufactured at the factory will be directed to the markets of the European Union.
Thus, Nestlé not only maintains production in Ukraine, but also actively invests in its development, creating new jobs, modernizing technologies and strengthening Ukraine’s position as an important exporter of food products in the world.
