Potatoes, one of the main components of the Ukrainian diet, are characterized by stable prices until the New Year. According to Volodymyr Ivchenko, Acting Director General of the Research Institute "Ukragropromproductivity", prices for this useful product are not going to change significantly. The price of potatoes is currently moving in the range of UAH 10-15 per kilogram and there are no plans for a significant reduction. Prices are expected to remain stable or increase slightly in September, October and November. This is due, in particular, to higher fuel prices and the preparation of storage facilities for potatoes.

According to expert estimates, in 2023, the number of onion-growing regions will increase, such as Lviv, Volyn, Poltava, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and partially Zaporizhzhia regions. Onion prices are expected to rise slightly due to storage costs.

Volodymyr Ivchenko also predicts that prices for cucumbers and tomatoes will increase by 30-40% by the end of the year, which is similar to last year's trends. Forecasting price fluctuations for these two crops remains one of the most difficult tasks in the agricultural market.
