Hungary has recently reached an important agreement with Romania, Slovakia and Bulgaria on the import of Ukrainian grain into its territory. This agreement will come into force if the European Commission does not extend the restrictions on imports from Ukraine. This was announced by Hungarian Agriculture Minister Istvan Nagy, Reuters reports.

Ukraine, which is famous for its fertile soil and grain crops, has faced difficulties in exporting its grain due to restrictions imposed by the European Commission. These restrictions have been felt not only by Ukrainian farmers, but also by neighboring countries that usually rely on Ukrainian grain for their own needs.

Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Nikolay Denkov, expressed support for the lifting of import restrictions from Ukraine, saying that it could lead to lower prices for basic foodstuffs and reduce inflation. He also noted that this would help improve the financial situation of low-income citizens and increase budget revenues through increased imports and exports.

An important step towards lifting the ban on imports from Ukraine was the decision of the Bulgarian Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy and Innovation, which supported the draft decision to lift the ban on the import of certain goods from Ukraine after September 15. The final decision is to be made at the plenary session of the parliament, which indicates significant progress in ensuring access of Ukrainian grain to the European market.

This agreement could prove to be an important step for Ukrainian farmers and grain exporters hoping for market recovery and increased sales of their products. It also demonstrates the importance of cooperation and agreements between countries in agriculture and trade to ensure stability and economic growth at the regional level. Ukraine will continue to develop its agriculture and grain sector, relying on the potential of international cooperation and regional integration.
