Poland is preparing to make a decision on extending the ban on imports of Ukrainian grain, despite the possible lifting of these restrictions by the European Commission for five EU countries. This was stated by Waldemar Buda, Minister of Economic Development and Technology of Poland, on Polish Radio.

The minister expressed his indignation at the fact that the European Commission is considering lifting the ban on imports of Ukrainian grain and emphasized that Poland must protect the interests of its farmers. He emphasized that Polish farmers should be able to sell their grain at a reasonable price.

"Polish farmers are a priority. They are the ones who should sell Polish grain and get an acceptable price for it," Buda said.

The Minister emphasized that within his powers he will issue a decree to extend the ban on imports of Ukrainian grain to Poland. He is preparing to make this decision this week.

"I will not hesitate to use this tool this week, on Friday or Saturday. A draft resolution is already being prepared. We will be guided by the principle of food security," Waldemar Buda emphasized.

The Minister also assured that there would be no problems with the transit of Ukrainian grain through Poland. Poland remains determined to protect its agricultural interests in the context of trade relations with Ukraine.
