The United States will help Ukraine find ways to export its food products. This statement was made by U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, responding to Russia's withdrawal from the grain deal. This was reported by Yevropeiska Pravda.
According to him, sea transportation was the most efficient way to export. The grain agreement provided for the guarantee of security, reliability and predictability of food exports from Ukraine to countries that need it.
"If this option no longer exists, we will consider other options to find alternative ways to export Ukrainian food to the world market, including the use of rail and road transport. But it is difficult to replace the volumes we are currently losing. This is a consequence of Russia turning food into a weapon," Blinken said.
According to the Secretary of State, the United States will help Ukraine look for new ways to export its products and help expand trade opportunities. He also emphasized that the United States supports Ukraine in its efforts to unblock access to grain markets and counter Russian aggression.
Russia's withdrawal from the grain deal has created significant difficulties for Ukrainian farmers who were counting on grain exports. Ukraine holds a leading position in the global grain market, so finding alternative export routes is critical to ensuring the stability of the Ukrainian agricultural sector and the balanced development of the country's economy.
Partnering with the United States and other countries to find new ways to export food will help Ukraine ensure a steady supply of its goods to international markets, strengthen its competitiveness and expand the geography of its trading partners.
