    Опубликовано: 2019-02-27 18:05:37

Most of the time, essays were bound around our lives or history and literature topics. But what if you’re tasked to write about an essay on agrarian economy? What type of essay should you do and how do you do it effectively?

What Type of Essay to Write

From primary school to college, you’ll be asked to write dozens of essays on different subjects and topics. However, as you reach another level in your academic progress, the essays gets harder and it’s even harder to please your professors. Still, you need to be able to write the best essay you can to achieve a higher grade.

The first thing you need to note is what type of essay works best for your topic. If you’re doing one for agrarian economy, the best type you can do is an expository essay - something that’s bound in facts.

    Finding a topic

Although you can write about agrarian economy in general, you can still choose several other topics that you can write about. For example, you can write about economy for plants and crop farmers exclusively or perhaps for livestock farmers. Or you can write something about agrarian reform.

The most important thing is that you have an understanding of the topic whether it’s a general subject or when you’ve chosen a specific one.

Once you have a topic you want to write about, make sure that you do your own research. However, make sure that you follow your professor. Sometimes, they would only allow you to use books rather than surf the internet.

Note down the definition of agrarian market and then several points you can write about. Research for hard facts. There are several authoritative websites you can find online such as journals and reputable news sites and you can use these if your professor allows you to.

    Note down facts

Since expository essay is about facts, you need to find these evidences from statistics to polls and surveys or perhaps quotes from reputable people. Anything that you believe can be used and is relevant to your topic is welcome.

For these facts, you’ll be able to build your essay’s structure and outline.

    Thesis

As we all know, essays consist of three parts: introduction, body, and the conclusion.

The introduction is perhaps the most important. It’s the first thing people will read and you need to grab their attention right away. Creating the right thesis statement is essential. You can do it by analyzing the topic as well as your sources.

Normally, the thesis statement is found on end of the introduction.

This is the hardest part of writing an essay and if you need to get academic help, it is completely acceptable. You can also consult your teachers for a probable thesis statement, especially your professors who major in the field.

    Writing the Body

With a good thesis statement, your introduction is saved. The problem now is the body of your essay. This is where you should include everything you’ve searched so far. But it’s rather easy, especially when you have the facts already laid in front of you as well as your thoughts on each one.

However, a tip when writing your essay is to never be vague and generalize. For example, instead of saying “chickens bring in the most profit for livestock farmers,” you can say “chickens bring in a significant percentage of profit for livestock farmers.”

Unless you have an evidence backing something up, do not make assumptions based on what you solely think.

Most of all, cite your resources well.

    Transitioning

Apart from the content, another major criterion most professionals are looking for in an essay is its flow. Transition words and phrases are essential when you’re jumping from one paragraph to another. Without them, your readers won’t be sure if you’re still on the same page or you’ve disagreed with the former paragraph.

To navigate your essay, your transition words and phrases should be able to do the following:

    ● Address similarity (likewise, moreover, furthermore, etc.) and differences (on the other hand, in contrast, on the contrary, etc.)
    ● Suggests the order of thoughts (firstly, secondly, thirdly, first and foremost, next, etc.)
    ● Remind the reader of what was previous said which is applicable for longer essays (as mentioned earlier, as has been said, etc.)
    ● Summarize or synthesize ideas (to summarize, in conclusion, to conclude, therefore, etc.)

    Edit your Paper

Most of all, never forget to edit your paper for the minor errors in your grammar and spelling as well as for probable major mistakes in your resources and facts. Double check everything so you’re not accidentally making something up.

By editing your paper, you can also get a feel of the flow of your essay and you can change sentences and words to something even better.
