Ukrainian corn is getting more expensive: export prices have gone up

There is growing interest in Ukrainian corn on the world market, which has led to an increase in export prices. This trend is observed against the background of active demand from importers and limited supply of grain within the country. The market situation indicates a strengthening of the positions of Ukrainian farmers in international trade.

According to the latest data, purchase prices for Ukrainian corn intended for export through Black Sea ports continue to demonstrate stable growth. The main factors contributing to this are an increase in world quotations, as well as increased demand from traditional buyers - China, Egypt, Turkey and Spain.

In addition, prices are positively affected by delays in corn deliveries from South America, in particular from Brazil and Argentina. Due to adverse weather conditions in these countries, supply volumes have decreased, which automatically increased the attractiveness of Ukrainian products on the world market.

The domestic market of Ukraine is also feeling the effects of the external situation. Corn prices on FOB (free on board) terms in the Black Sea ports have increased by several US dollars per ton. At the same time, traders note that logistics costs remain relatively stable, which allows maintaining the competitiveness of Ukrainian products.

Despite active exports, corn stocks in Ukrainian elevators remain at an acceptable level. However, farmers are already starting to form new price expectations for the upcoming season, focusing on current market dynamics and the prospects of the new harvest.

In general, the situation on the corn export market indicates that Ukraine continues to be an important player in global grain trade. If current trends continue, Ukrainian producers can count on favorable conditions when concluding new contracts in the coming months.
