In February 2025, Ukraine observed a moderate decrease in soybean prices, which was caused by an increase in offers from farmers who began active preparations for the sowing campaign. This situation is reflected, in particular, in the domestic market, where competition among producers contributes to a decrease in the cost of products.

Soybean Prices in Ukraine: Domestic Market

On the domestic market of Ukraine, processors of genetically modified (GM) soybeans announced demand prices within 16,800–17,000 UAH/t CRT. This indicates some adjustment in the cost of this crop as a result of a change in supply, when farmers are actively preparing for new crops and selling the remains of the previous harvest. It is noted that in general this process reflects the normalization of market conditions.

Export Situation on the Soybean Market

At the same time, a slight strengthening of prices was noted on the foreign market of soybeans. The cost of soybeans on export markets reached 384-394 USD/t CPT for genetically modified soybeans. In some cases, the demand prices were fixed at 380 USD/t CPT. This trend indicates the stability of demand for Ukrainian soybeans, which confirms the high interest in this product from foreign buyers.

Prices for non-GMO soybeans: stability in the export market

Prices for non-GMO soybeans, which are in high demand on international markets, were fixed within 423-425 USD/t CPT. This price reflects the stability of demand for high-quality products, in particular for countries focused on natural agricultural products.

The impact of the world market on prices in Ukraine

The soybean market continues to be under external pressure in the form of global economic factors. First of all, this is the active pace of soybean harvesting in Brazil, which increases supply on the global market, as well as improved production forecasts in Argentina after the rains. This means that the world soybean market is steadily influencing prices, forcing Ukrainian producers to be cautious when increasing costs.

Forecasts for the future

Given the situation on the world market, Ukrainian companies are cautiously raising prices, predicting possible fluctuations in export markets. Farmers should take into account changes in global production forecasts, which may affect future prices and demand. At the same time, trends in the domestic market continue to demonstrate activity and potential for stable development of this industry.
