In January 2025, Ukraine significantly increased its egg exports, sending 10,600 tons of products abroad. This is 92.7% more than in the same period in 2024, which indicates a significant increase in demand for Ukrainian eggs on the international market.
According to the State Statistics Service, in monetary terms, egg exports also showed an impressive increase of 80.6% compared to January 2024. Of this amount, the total volume of egg exports in January 2025 reached 11.2 million US dollars.
The main buyers of Ukrainian eggs in the first month of 2025 were European countries. The largest volumes of products were sent to Croatia (14.9%), Italy (13.5%) and Poland (11.1%), which confirms the stable demand for Ukrainian products among European consumers.
The growth of egg exports is an important indicator for the Ukrainian agricultural sector, as it marks the increase in the competitiveness of Ukrainian products on international markets. Despite all the challenges of the war, Ukrainian enterprises were able to restore and even increase production volumes, which contributed to such a positive trend.
Egg exports have become an important component of Ukrainian agricultural exports, and their increase plays an important role in supporting the country's economy. Given the stable growth in demand for products and efforts to improve product quality, we can expect that Ukraine will remain one of the main suppliers of eggs to European markets.
This indicator is part of a general positive trend, when the Ukrainian agricultural sector continues to find new opportunities for development even in difficult economic and political realities.
