The Astarta company plans to build a new plant in the Poltava region, which will process soybean meal. The productivity of the enterprise will be 500 tons per day. This became known as a result of the signing of an investment agreement between the company and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliya Svyridenko emphasized the importance of this agreement, noting that the program for supporting projects with large investments has finally started to operate. It is available to investors willing to invest more than 12 million euros.
Astarta's total investment in the project will exceed 76 million euros, which will be spent on the purchase of modern equipment and technologies. This innovation will not only increase the efficiency of processing agricultural products, but will also create 110 new jobs in the region. It also initiates the development of the processing industry and new approaches in growing and processing soybeans.
As part of the implementation of this project, the company will receive a number of benefits and incentives. In particular, it is planned to exempt the payment of import duty on new equipment, as well as exemption from VAT on the import of new equipment. In addition, the investor is given the opportunity not to pay income tax for up to five years.
The implementation of this project should become an important step in strengthening the agricultural sector of Poltava Oblast and Ukraine in general. The plant will not only provide new jobs, but also contribute to the growth of production and the improvement of the quality of soybean processing in Ukraine.
Thus, "Astarta" continues to introduce innovations in the agricultural sector, which will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of Ukrainian agricultural products on the international market. The introduction of the new plant opens up new opportunities for local farmers and enterprises involved in the cultivation of soybeans.
