In 2022, the total income of companies that were ranked among the top ten in the agricultural sector according to the Opendatabot Index increased by 27%. In 2022, they earned a total of UAH 97.65 billion.

It is noted that exactly half of the top 10 companies belong to the MHP financial and industrial group founded by Yuriy Kosyuk. These are Vinnytsia Poultry Farm, Myronivska Poultry Farm, MHP Grain Product, Urozhay, and Oril-Leader.

"These companies account for the lion's share of the total income of the top companies in terms of last year's figures - 65% or UAH 63.2 billion," Opendatabot notes.

All 5 companies received more revenue in 2022 compared to 2021, and their total revenue increased almost 1.5 times.

The group leader has remained unchanged for two years in a row - Vinnytsia Poultry Farm. Last year, the company's revenue increased almost 1.6 times compared to 2021: from UAH 19.4 billion to UAH 30.4 billion.

And the largest increase in revenue for the year in 2022 was observed at Urozhay, up 2.6 times.

"For example, while in 2021 the company earned UAH 2.24 billion, in 2022 it earned UAH 5.81 billion. Thanks to this, in just one year, Urozhay rose from the 19th position in the rating in 2021 to the 6th position in 2022," Opendatabot emphasized.

Another 2 companies in the top - Druzhba-Nova and Enselko Agro - belong to the Kernel financial and industrial group founded by Andriy Verevsky. The share of these companies in the aggregate revenue of the agrotop in 2022 amounted to 12%.

"In 2022, the total revenue of these companies decreased by 14%: from UAH 13.5 billion to UAH 11.6 billion. Druzhba-Nova's revenues decreased the most noticeably - by 28%, which caused the company to lose 3 positions in the ranking, but remained in the top 10. On the other hand, Enselco Agro's revenue increased slightly by 2%," Opendatabot noted.

Another company from the top 10 in the agricultural sector received less revenue in 2022 and moved from the 2nd position to the 3rd in 2022. This is Lebedynsky Seed Plant, which belongs to the LNZ Group of companies founded by Dmytro Krachenko. The company's share in the agro-top's total revenue decreased from 18% in 2021 to 14% in 2022.

Also in the agrarian top 10 of the Opendatabot Index is Podillya, which is part of the Ukrprominvest group of companies owned by Oleksiy Poroshenko (son of former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko). The company's revenue increased by 27% in 2022 compared to 2021.

Another business, Agrarian Company 2004, which is part of the VITAGRO group (Serhiy Labaziuk), increased its revenue by 44% in 2022.

According to Opendatabot, some companies lost ground during the first year of the full-scale war and dropped out of the top 10. We are talking about APK-Invest, owned by Borys Kolesnikov, whose revenue decreased by 21% in 2022 compared to 2021. The company moved from 10th position in 2021 to 19th in 2022.

Also, Zorya Podillya, which is part of the Ukrprominvest group of companies (Oleksiy Poroshenko), reduced its revenue by almost a quarter (23%), and the company dropped from the 7th position in the rating to the 15th.
