The land market in Ukraine has been operating for two years, and during this period Ukrainians have sold and donated 275,157 hectares of agricultural land, which is 1% of the total area of agricultural land. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

These data refute the myth that all land will be sold at once. In total, Ukraine has 27.5 million hectares of agricultural land, which means that only 0.5% of the total area is sold annually. During the two years of the land market's operation, 85,247 agricultural land purchase and sale transactions were concluded. In the first year, 27,696 deals were concluded, and in the next year - 23 thousand. It should be noted that in 2022 the market was closed for almost four months. In the first half of 2023, 18 thousand deals have already been concluded.

Due to the sale of land over the past two years, budgets of various levels have received more than UAH 1.3 billion from the sale of more than 16 thousand online land auctions, said CEO of Prozoro.Sale Sergiy But.

The average cost of one hectare of land is UAH 39 thousand, but land prices are very dynamic. For example, in 2022, the cost of one hectare of land in Ivano-Frankivsk region was almost UAH 100 thousand. It is expected that in 2024, when the second phase of the reform begins and legal entities are allowed to enter the market, land prices will continue to rise.
