In March 2025, Ukraine significantly increased its dairy exports, reaching 12.27 thousand tons worth $37.89 million. Compared to February 2025, the physical volume of exports increased by 20%, and for the year this figure increased by 44%. Ice cream exports were particularly notable, growing by 76%, reaching 1.52 thousand tons.
This was reported by the Milk Producers Association (MPA), noting an increase in export revenue of 39% compared to February 2025 and 110% compared to March 2024. In total, in the first three months of 2025, Ukraine exported 31.14 thousand tons. tons of dairy products worth $89.77 million, which is 62% more than in the same period last year.
The main export categories in February 2025 were: butter (26%), condensed milk and cream (25%), cheese (14%), ice cream (14%) and casein (11%). This indicates a stable demand for the products of Ukrainian dairy enterprises in international markets.
The largest consumers of Ukrainian ice cream were Germany and Poland, where a significant increase in supplies was observed. In particular, ice cream exports increased by 76%, reaching a record 1.52 thousand tons in March 2025.
The growth in exports also affected other dairy products. Thus, whey exports increased by 22%, reaching 1.82 thousand tons, butter - by 41%, to 1.41 thousand tons. tons, condensed milk and cream - by 20%, to 3.87 thousand tons, and cheeses - by 8%, to 1.15 thousand tons.
Compared to March 2024, exports of dairy products also showed significant growth: butter (+262%), condensed milk and cream (+113%), buttermilk (+46%), cheese (+33%), ice cream (+46%). These indicators indicate continued stability and growth in demand for Ukrainian dairy products on international markets, which is important for the development of the Ukrainian agricultural sector.
