Ukraine has entered the TOP-10 world producers of vegetables and fruits, leaving behind Spain, which previously held higher positions. This is an important step for a country that continues to strengthen its position in the international agricultural market.

This was reported by the EastFruit publication with reference to data from Faostat, the United Nations Department of Agriculture and Food. According to updated statistics, Ukraine took 10th place among the world producers of fruit and vegetables, ahead of Spain, Egypt and Indonesia.

The decline in production in Spain was one of the key factors in shifting its positions in the ranking. Over the past three years, the volume of fruit and vegetable production in this country has decreased by 10% - from 31 million tons to 28 million tons. This opened the way for other countries, including Ukraine, to take a place among the leaders.

The top ten largest producers of vegetables and fruits include the following countries: China - the absolute leader with 781.5 million tons of products, India - 221 million tons, the USA - 68.7 million tons, Turkey - 56 million tons, Brazil - 48 million tons, Mexico - 40 million tons, Russia - 35 million tons, Indonesia - 34 million tons, Egypt - 33 million tons, and Ukraine, which produces 30 million tons.

It is worth noting that such results are a significant achievement for Ukraine. Despite difficult conditions, including military challenges and economic instability, the country demonstrates stable development in the agricultural sector. Ukrainian farmers are actively implementing the latest technologies and expanding the range of products, which contributes to the growth of production volumes.

This success not only enhances Ukraine's reputation as a powerful agricultural producer, but also opens up new opportunities for export. The growth in the ranking confirms that Ukrainian agricultural products are able to compete at the global level, ensuring high quality and stable supply volumes.
