October 2024 was a record month for the state support program, which provides for partial compensation for the cost of agricultural machinery of Ukrainian production. As part of this initiative, farmers spent 1.2 billion hryvnias on the purchase of machinery and received compensation from the state in the amount of 250.9 million hryvnias. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
According to the department, the program is rapidly gaining popularity among agricultural producers. If in April 2024, when it was launched, only three applications were submitted for four units of machinery with a total compensation of 220 thousand hryvnias, then in October 894 applications were already registered. This allowed farmers to receive compensation for 1,546 units of equipment.
Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized that the growth in demand for the program is evidence of its effectiveness. "The state support mechanism demonstrates its effectiveness, and Ukrainian manufacturers of agricultural machinery successfully meet the growing needs of the market," Svyrydenko noted.
It is especially important that the program contributes to the development of domestic production. Thanks to stable demand from farmers, Ukrainian enterprises have the opportunity to expand production capacities, create new jobs and support the national economy.
Compensation, which is 25% of the cost of equipment, allows you to significantly reduce the financial burden on agricultural producers. This is becoming an important factor in the context of rising prices for equipment and the need to modernize agricultural enterprises.
State support, according to representatives of the Ministry of Economy, will continue to develop. It is planned to expand the program and increase the amount of financing so that even more farmers can use this tool. As a result, this will contribute to strengthening the agricultural sector, which is key to the Ukrainian economy.
