During the first nine months of 2024, Ukraine achieved a significant increase in the export of agricultural products, which increased by more than a quarter, amounting to 9.9 million tons. This information was made public by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of the agricultural sector for the country's economy.

According to the agency, in the third quarter of 2024, Ukraine managed to export 48.9 million tons of agricultural products for a total amount of 10.5 billion US dollars. This testifies to the stability of the Ukrainian agricultural sector even in the face of economic challenges.

The main factor contributing to the growth of the export of agricultural products was the restoration of sea communication. It was noted that 89% of the total volume of export of agricultural products was realized through sea transport. This became possible thanks to the improvement of logistics routes and the restoration of sea corridors.

The State Customs Service also indicated that 9% of agricultural products were exported by rail, while only 2% was transported by road. This indicates a high level of transportation organization and the efficiency of using various types of transport to ensure exports.

As for the import of agricultural products, there is a reverse trend. It was noted that 80% of imported agricultural products arrived in Ukraine precisely with the help of motor vehicles. The main reason for this is that products are imported mainly from European countries, which indicates the growth of trade relations with European partners.

Thus, the significant increase in the export of agricultural products in Ukraine is the result of the effective use of sea transport and the improvement of logistics, which in turn contributes to the strengthening of the agricultural sector and increasing the country's economic stability.
