In Ukraine, there is a slight decrease in prices for agricultural land. In September 2024, the average cost of a hectare was 46,748 hryvnias, which is one thousand hryvnias less than in August, when it was 47,738 hryvnias. Despite this, in general, since the beginning of the year, land prices have increased, adding almost 1,500 hryvnias to the initial cost of 45,249 hryvnias per hectare in January 2024.

The highest price index this year was recorded in July, when the average price reached 51,203 hryvnias per hectare. At the same time, agricultural land cost the cheapest in February, with an indicator of UAH 43,809 per hectare. These fluctuations indicate the dynamics of the land market in Ukraine and the influence of various factors on the price situation.

The cost of agricultural land varies depending on the region. The highest price per hectare is observed in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, where it is 105,703 hryvnias. It is followed by Kyiv region with 71,973 hryvnias and Ternopil region with 69,814 hryvnias per hectare. These data indicate the difference in demand and supply on the land market in different regions of the country.

The lowest prices were recorded in the Luhansk region, where a hectare of agricultural land costs only 17,817 hryvnias. Other regions with low prices include Mykolaiv (30,122 hryvnias), Sumy (31,028 hryvnias) and Odesa (31,395 hryvnias). These indicators indicate that there is significant unevenness in the price policy on the land market in Ukraine.

In general, although the September decrease in prices is insignificant, it reflects certain trends in the agricultural land market. Monitoring these changes can be important for farmers, investors and other market participants who plan their strategies based on current price trends.
