Growth in the number of blocked tax invoices: an increase of 24%, - Yuzhanina

According to the head of the tax service, Nina Yuzhanina, the number of blocked tax invoices increased by 24% over the last year. This phenomenon causes concern among entrepreneurs and analysts, who see possible negative consequences for the business environment in Ukraine.

Yuzhanina names the main reason for the increase in the number of blockings as the strengthening of control over compliance with tax legislation. "Our inspectors began to check each invoice more thoroughly to avoid possible fraudulent schemes," she said. This made it possible to reduce the number of improper VAT refunds, but at the same time created additional difficulties for honest taxpayers.

It is also important to note that some enterprises, faced with the blocking of tax invoices, were forced to temporarily stop their activities. This, in turn, has led to loss of income and even job losses. Entrepreneurs fear that such a situation may negatively affect their competitiveness both in the domestic and foreign markets.

Yuzhanina emphasized that the tax service is working on improving the process of checking invoices in order to reduce the number of false blockings. She also emphasized the importance of cooperation with the business community to develop new mechanisms that would allow ensuring a balance between control and business support.
