The market of agricultural land in Ukraine continues to demonstrate a stable growth of purchase and sale agreements. During the period from January to March 2024, the capitalization of this market increased by 202.5 billion hryvnias, KSE Agrocenter reports.

In the first three months of the current year, 25,700 contracts for the purchase and sale of agricultural plots with a total area of 58,800 hectares were concluded. This is 7% more than the fourth quarter of 2023, when a record number of deals was recorded.

The weighted average price per hectare of agricultural land also increased by 11.2% from 37.7 thousand hryvnias to 42 thousand hryvnias. The greatest demand is observed for the former "moratorium" lands, which are used for commercial agricultural production and personal peasant farming.

Experts believe that this growth is a consequence of reforms aimed at developing the land market in Ukraine. Not only the increase in the volume of transactions, but also the increase in the average price indicate an increased interest in land resources.

Ukraine continues to attract investments in the agricultural sector, and the land market is becoming one of the key platforms for the development of agricultural business and the improvement of the country's economic indicators.

This trend gives a positive signal to investors and agricultural enterprises, stimulating them to more actively participate in the development of the agricultural land market in Ukraine.
