As of November 3 of the current season (2023/24 MY), Ukraine continues to actively export grains and pulses, which is growing at an impressive pace. The data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food shows impressive export volumes, approaching 9.5 mln tons.
According to the State Customs Service, grain exports have already reached 9,481 thousand tons, but this figure is almost 4.4 million tons behind the same figure as of November 4 last year. Nevertheless, a significant export volume indicates the activity of the agricultural sector.
Details on crops also reveal interesting aspects. In particular, wheat exports amounted to 4,725 thousand tons, barley - 690 thousand tons, and corn - 3,942 thousand tons. However, these figures show a lag in volumes compared to the previous season.
The supply of certain crops, such as barley and corn, is observed to be down compared to last season. This may be due to a variety of factors, including climatic conditions and global market demand.
An additional aspect of exports is the export of 43.6 thousand tons of grain flour, including 42.1 thousand tons of wheat flour. This emphasizes the diversification of products exported from the country.
Overall, although grain exports are slightly behind the previous year, the large volume indicates a significant contribution of the Ukrainian agricultural sector to the global market. If this trend continues, it could have an important impact on the country's economy in the future.
