Agricultural giant KSG Agro has announced the completion of a successful harvesting campaign of winter crops, including barley, rapeseed and wheat, on a total area of over 6.34 thousand hectares. This was reported by the agricultural holding's press service, citing Dmytro Emelchenko, head of the crop division.
According to the data, barley was successfully harvested on an area of 1,100 hectares with a yield of 3 tons per hectare, rapeseed on an area of 2,138 hectares with a yield of 2.5 tons per hectare, and wheat on an area of 3,100 hectares with a yield of 5 tons per hectare.
To carry out this successful harvesting campaign, KSG Agro engaged 13 combines, including 2 John Deere units and the rest Claas Lexion.
Dmytro Emelchenko, Head of Crop Production Division, said: "Effective cooperation of the agricultural holding's teams and favorable weather conditions with adequate irrigation were the key factors that helped us achieve an impressive result in yields. Despite some pessimism related to winter crops under the influence of fertilizer and crop protection costs, we not only managed to break even but also achieved a positive financial result."
These results demonstrate not only the high professionalism of KSG Agro's team, but also that the adequate use of modern agricultural technologies and efficient farming practices can lead to a significant increase in yields and productivity in the agricultural sector.
