In the municipality of Mykolaiv in the Sumy region, the first communal cheese dairy in the region will soon begin operations. This is an important milestone for the development of the dairy industry in the region. This was announced by the press service of the agricultural holding IMC (Investment Milk Complex).

The municipality of Mykolaivska Hromada is actively working on the establishment of a dairy cooperative. This project is promoted by the support of the region and the solidarity of citizens. The idea includes two programs and the need for technical support.

Mykolaiv municipality already has its own complex where milk processing will be organized and a raw material base of 300 cows will be created. This infrastructure will be an important tool for promoting the development of the dairy sector.

The project to establish a municipal cooperative, proposed by the IMA, was supported. At the request of the community, Pöttinger Agro Holding has donated a milk tanker to collect milk from the surrounding villages. According to the Sumy Region State Administration, the project has already been registered and will be the first communal cheese dairy in the region.

Chairman of the Board of IMC, Alex Lissitsa, pointed out that this project will promote the development of local livestock and increase the purchase price of milk in the villages.

IMC Agro Holding specializes in the cultivation of cereals, oilseeds and milk production. The company manages over 123.3 thousand hectares of land in Poltava, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Its storage capacity is 554 thousand tons of grain and oilseeds.
