For the first time in Ukraine, entrepreneurs received compensation of 15% of the cost of purchased domestic machinery and equipment. The program, initiated by the Ministry of Economy, is aimed at stimulating the development of Ukrainian production and updating the technical capacities of businesses. As part of this initiative, more than 10 million hryvnias were allocated to compensate for the cost of equipment purchased from October 22 to December 1, 2024.
As noted by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, the program provides a double benefit: enterprises get the opportunity to update their technical resources on favorable terms, and Ukrainian manufacturers increase production in response to growing demand.
The list of equipment purchased by entrepreneurs and for which compensation was provided includes various categories of equipment. Among them are passenger elevators from the Kyiv company Karat-Liftkomplekt, city buses from the manufacturer ISUZU-ATAMAN Ukraine, as well as car and tractor trailers from enterprises in Zaporizhia and Khmelnytskyi regions.
Entrepreneurs from the Khmelnytskyi region received the largest compensation - the total amount of payments amounted to 4.5 million hryvnias. Also significant were payments to business representatives from Ternopil region (1.8 million hryvnias), Dnipropetrovsk region (1.7 million hryvnias), Poltava region (0.7 million hryvnias), Volyn region (0.5 million hryvnias), Vinnytsia region (0.5 million hryvnias) and Kyiv region (0.4 million hryvnias).
This program is the first step in a long-term strategy to support Ukrainian business and domestic production. The mechanism for compensating for the cost of equipment allows entrepreneurs to reduce costs for updating fixed assets, while stimulating the development of local industry.
The Ministry of Economy plans to continue the initiative, attracting even more manufacturers and entrepreneurs to participate in the program. This will not only promote economic growth, but also help create new jobs and increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian products in domestic and foreign markets.
