In Ukraine, wheat prices have reached new historical highs, which is due to the limited supply and the growth of the dollar exchange rate. Despite the decline in global quotations, the price of wheat on the domestic market remains stably high, according to the data of the analysts of "APK-Inform".

According to experts, insufficient activity of wheat suppliers and increased competition between processing enterprises and export-oriented companies created favorable conditions for further price growth. The growth of the exchange rate only strengthened this trend, creating additional pressure on manufacturers and exporters.

Representatives of the flour milling industry continue to point to the shortage of wheat on the market, which forces them to raise purchase prices to meet production needs. The need for a stable supply of quality raw materials forces some producers to offer prices that exceed the average market.

Analysts also note that high demand on the export market additionally supports the price of wheat in Ukraine. Demand for high-quality raw materials from exporters requires higher prices, as farmers have limited opportunities to sell.

According to the results of the last week, prices for wheat of the 2nd class increased by 200-400 hryvnias per ton, reaching the level of 9300-10500 hryvnias per ton of SRT. The cost of fodder wheat has also increased and is now in the range of 8,300-9,400 hryvnias per ton of SRT.

Experts predict that the market situation will remain tense and prices will continue to be held at a high level due to limited supply and fluctuations in the foreign exchange market.
