Rising food prices: what to expect from October
In Ukraine, an increase in the prices of a number of food products is expected, which will come into effect as early as October. This is due to several factors, including rising costs of production, transportation and inflation.
First of all, the increase in prices will affect basic products such as bread, milk, meat and vegetables. According to analysts' forecasts, the cost of bread may increase by 10-15%. This is explained by the increase in the price of flour, which is a key component in the production of bakery products.
It is also predicted that the prices of dairy products, including yogurts and cheeses, will rise by an average of 8-12%. The main reasons for this are the rising prices of animal feed and the energy resources needed for production.
Meat products will also change prices. The cost of pork and beef, according to forecasts, will increase by 5-10%. This is caused by both internal and external economic factors, in particular the increase in prices for imported feed.
Vegetables, which traditionally become more expensive in autumn, will not be an exception either. Prices for potatoes, carrots and cabbage may increase by 15-20%. Reduced yields due to adverse weather conditions contribute to this growth.
Considering all these factors, consumers should be prepared for changes in their budgets. Experts advise paying attention to promotional offers in stores and markets, as well as buying products in bulk in order to reduce costs in conditions of rising prices.
