On January 4, a large-scale environmental initiative was launched in the capital of Ukraine - 44 collection points for Christmas trees and pines. This is aimed at creating an opportunity for citizens to submit their Christmas trees for further eco-friendly recycling.

According to the Kyiv City State Administration, eco-friendly recycling of these trees will allow them to be reused in green economy. The trees will be processed into wood chips that will be used to mulch young trees, which will help protect the roots from frost and retain moisture during hot days.

Only live trees without decorative ornaments are accepted for recycling. The collection points will be open until January 31 in different parts of the city - in parks, squares and on the territories of utility companies responsible for the preservation of green spaces and forest parks.

The KCSA provides a list of addresses of reception points in different districts of the city, including Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Obolonskyi, Pecherskyi, Podilskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts.

These reception centers are located in parks, squares, and administrative areas. Each point indicates its working hours and address for the convenience of citizens.

The event promotes an environmentally responsible attitude to nature and the use of resources. Kyiv residents are invited to actively join this initiative by contributing to the preservation of the environment.
