The Ukrainian government has made an important decision to attract international financial support for the development of the country's agriculture. With the help of decrees No. 873-r and No. 874-r, negotiations on the signing of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) will begin. This agreement provides for the attraction of USD 700 million to support Ukrainian agriculture.

The main purpose of this agreement is to implement the project "Emergency project of providing inclusive support for the restoration of agriculture in Ukraine (ARISE)". Thanks to this project, Ukraine will receive significant financial resources to support its agriculture.

The total amount of funds will be directed to two key components of the ARISE project. First, it is financial support for the Affordable Loans 5-7-9 program for agricultural production and food processing. Secondly, it is the provision of grant assistance to small agricultural producers, in particular, land users and those who specialize in breeding cows, goats or sheep.

The ARISE project is scheduled to be implemented in 2023-2024. This step demonstrates the importance of supporting and developing Ukraine's agricultural sector and the government's intention to improve conditions for farmers by providing them with financial and technical support.

Attracting international assistance to the agricultural sector is a step forward in the development of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, which is an important sector of the country's economy. It will also help to increase the productivity and competitiveness of Ukrainian agricultural enterprises on the world market.
