Within nine days of Russia's withdrawal from the grain deal, the Russian occupiers destroyed 180 thousand tons of food by shelling. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on July 31.

It is noted that the enemy struck at port cities and grain warehouses. The occupiers attacked 26 objects of Ukraine's port infrastructure and five civilian vessels.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs defined these actions as another series of Russian war crimes.

"We must stop the 'hunger games' and ensure global food security now," the diplomatic agency added.

After Russia's withdrawal from the grain deal, Russian troops actively shelled relevant infrastructure in Ukraine, especially in the Odesa region.

In particular, on the night of July 18, Russian troops used missiles and drones to attack the region. Air defense forces destroyed the enemy targets, but the falling debris damaged port infrastructure.

The next night, the occupiers launched another attack on the region, damaging grain and oil terminals. It was noted that the enemy had put a significant part of the export infrastructure of the Chornomorsk port out of operation.

After the shelling, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered the military to strengthen the protection of port infrastructure. He also noted that the scale of the incident showed Ukraine's lack of air defense capabilities.

On July 21, Russian missiles targeted the grain terminals of an agricultural enterprise in Odesa region, destroying 100 tons of peas and 20 tons of barley.

On July 24, the occupiers sent Shahed-136 drones at the Danube port infrastructure, destroying a hangar with grain and damaging tanks for storing other types of cargo.

A few days later, on the night of July 27, Russian troops damaged the equipment of a cargo terminal in Odesa region.

Facilities in other regions also came under enemy attack. On July 28, the Russian occupiers attacked a grain terminal in Kherson region.

On the night of July 30, the invaders targeted agricultural enterprises in Kherson and Dnipro regions. Then the wreckage of an unmanned aerial vehicle fell on the territory of one of the agricultural companies, causing a fire in the grain storage facility.
