A record grain harvest in the new harvest season has been confirmed in Ukraine, where more than 2 million tons of grain have been harvested. According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, early grain and leguminous crops are being harvested in 22 regions of the country. This is as of July 14.

In total, the harvested area of 643.8 thousand hectares yielded 2 million 160 thousand tons of grain. In particular, 352.4 thousand hectares of barley were threshed, yielding 38.4 centners per hectare and 1 million 352 thousand tons of grain. Also, 211.8 thousand hectares of wheat were harvested, yielding 33.7 centners per hectare and 714.6 thousand tons of grain. Peas were harvested from 44.99 thousand hectares with a yield of 20.8 centners per hectare and yielded 93.7 thousand tons of grain.

The best results of grain harvesting were recorded in Odesa region. Here, 242 thousand hectares of grain crops were threshed, yielding 746 thousand tons of grain.

In addition, winter rapeseed harvesting has started in 12 regions of the country. So far, 158 thousand hectares of this crop have been threshed, yielding 329.5 thousand tons of seeds with a yield of 20.8 centners per hectare.

Such high yields are evidence of the successful development of the agricultural sector in Ukraine. Domestic farmers and peasants continue to work confidently to improve the cultivation and harvesting of grain crops, which contributes to the stable food supply of the country and has a positive impact on Ukraine's foreign economic position as a leading global grain exporter.

The grain yields in the new season allow Ukraine to meet its own bread needs and export significant volumes. This increases the income of agricultural producers, supports the country's economy and helps to strengthen Ukraine's position in the global agricultural market.
