The harvesting campaign has begun in the southern districts of Vinnytsia region, according to the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, ProAgro Group reports.

"The harvesting campaign has started in the southern districts of the region. In total, we have an area of 479 thousand hectares for early grains and legumes. All agricultural machinery, which includes about 2,320 combines, is ready to harvest early grains. The situation is positive. Winter barley yields are currently over 40 centners per hectare. The projected volume of early grains will be about 2.5 million tons," said Mykola Tkachuk, Director of the Department of Agricultural Development, Ecology and Natural Resources of Vinnytsia Regional State Administration.

Along with Vinnytsia region, harvesting has already begun in five other regions of Ukraine. Vinnytsia region became the sixth region to start harvesting.

The start of the harvest is an important stage for farmers that requires a lot of effort and appropriate technical training. The quality and quantity of harvested agricultural products depends on this period, which directly affects the further economic sustainability of the industry and the country's food security.
