In March 2025, Ukraine increased its exports of goods to $3.6 billion, which is 4.5% more compared to the same period last year and 18% more compared to February 2025. In the first quarter of 2025, exports of goods from Ukraine reached $9.9 billion. This confirms the positive dynamics in foreign trade, despite a certain reduction in exports in January and February of this year.

According to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, a significant increase in exports in March was made possible by an increase in supplies of such goods as agricultural products, iron ore and metallurgical products. One of the main drivers of exports in March was a sharp increase in the supply of pig iron and sunflower products.

In particular, pig iron exports increased 13.4 times compared to February, which brought an additional $110 million. In addition, Ukraine significantly increased supplies of sunflower seeds (+11.5 times), oilcake (+80.3%) and sunflower oil (+39.2%), which allowed the country to receive additional millions of dollars.

Overall, physical exports in March increased to 9.98 million tons, which is 15.9% more than in February this year. It is noted that exports by sea transport in March increased by 24.7% in monetary terms and by 17% in weight compared to February. An increase in exports by rail by 16.8% in monetary terms and 15.1% in weight was also recorded.

The largest export volumes in March were brought by the following goods:
    - corn ($514.4 million or 2.4 million tons),
    - sunflower oil ($503 million or 441 thousand tons),
    - wheat ($253.9 million or 1.1 million tons),
    - iron ore ($238.4 million or 2.9 million tons),
    - soybeans ($150.2 million or 369.2 thousand tons),
    - insulated wires ($124.6 million or 6.5 thousand tons),
    - cast iron ($118.9 million or 300.9 thousand tons).

The main markets for Ukrainian goods in March included:
    - Poland ($407.7 million),
    - Turkey ($294.3 million),
    - Italy ($231.8 million),
    - Germany ($196.3 million),
    - China ($189.4 million),
    - Spain ($185.7 million).

These results show that Ukraine is actively developing its trade relations with key economic partners and strengthening its positions in world markets, despite difficult conditions.
