However, it is important to understand that, despite their usefulness, eating large amounts of watermelons can have certain health consequences.

    Watermelons consist of 90% water, which makes them ideal for maintaining the body's water balance in the hot season. In addition, they are rich in vitamin C, which supports the immune system, and antioxidants, which help fight stress in cells. Therefore, the inclusion of watermelons in the diet helps to maintain the general state of health and increases the energy level.

    However, it is important to pay attention to the amount of consumption of these fruits. A large amount of watermelon can lead to excessive sugar and calorie intake, which may not be suitable for people with certain medical conditions, such as diabetes or gastrointestinal problems. Also, due to the content of potassium in large quantities, watermelons can be dangerous for people with chronic kidney failure.

    According to the recommendations of nutrition experts, an adult can safely consume up to 2 kilograms of watermelons per day. This corresponds to about 6-8 servings. However, it is important to take into account the individual characteristics of the body and the health of each person when including these fruits in the diet.

    Also, it should be remembered that watermelons, like most fruits, have a high glycemic index, which can lead to a rapid increase in blood sugar. This is especially important for people with diabetes, who are advised to limit their sugar intake.

    So, regardless of all the advantages of watermelons, it is important to balance their consumption and take into account the individual characteristics of your body. And although they are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals in the summer, a conscious approach to the use of these fruits will help to maintain health and well-being.
