Decrease in world export prices for grain in June

In June of this year, world export prices for all major types of grain decreased significantly. This trend was observed in many markets, causing concern among farmers and exporters. The reasons for this decline are varied and include the effects of climate conditions, exchange rate fluctuations, and changes in world trade.

One of the main reasons for the drop in prices was the increase in grain production in key exporting countries. For example, the US and Canada saw record wheat and corn harvests this year, leading to an oversupply in the market. Australia and Argentina also saw production increases, further putting pressure on prices.

Climatic conditions also played an important role in lowering prices. Thanks to favorable weather conditions in many regions, grain yields have increased significantly. This caused an oversupply in the market, which automatically led to lower prices. In some countries, such as Russia and Ukraine, favorable weather conditions were also observed, which contributed to an increase in the harvest.

In addition, exchange rate fluctuations had an impact on export prices. The strengthening of the US dollar has made US grains less competitive on the international market, which has also led to lower prices. At the same time, the weakening of currencies in some producing countries allowed them to reduce the prices of their products, which further increased the pressure on world prices.

Changes in world trade also had an impact on grain export prices. Tensions in trade relations between some major exporting and importing countries have caused a decrease in trade volumes and a change in supply routes. This, in turn, led to an increase in transportation and logistics costs, which was reflected in prices.

Despite the decline in prices, experts predict a possible recovery of the market in the coming months. Lower yields in some regions due to adverse weather conditions and possible changes in the global economy may contribute to the stabilization and growth of grain prices in the future.
