Port Willie strengthens its position in the grain and fertilizer industries: plans for the future

Port Willy, one of the key maritime hubs for grain and fertilizer exports from Ukraine, is implementing ambitious plans to expand transshipments. According to the company "Terminal Willy", by the end of 2024 it is planned to increase transshipment of grains and fertilizers by 40%.

In 2023, the volume of transshipment of grains and fertilizers at the Willy terminal was 10.5 million tons, and this indicator includes not only Ukrainian products, but also imported ones. An increase in the volume of transshipment to 40% will be an important step for the Ukrainian economy, helping to increase the volume of exports and support the agricultural sector.

According to the management of "Terminal Willi", this achievement will be possible thanks to the modernization and expansion of the port's infrastructure, as well as the optimization of transshipment processes and the increase in the efficiency of the terminal's work. Infrastructure improvements include the expansion of grain storage facilities and the construction of new fertilizer storage facilities.

An important component of the development of the Willy terminal is also the increase of its technical potential. It is planned to introduce modern technologies and equipment for the automation of transshipment processes, which will increase productivity and reduce costs.
