The Ukrainian government has submitted proposals to Poland to introduce a system of control over agricultural exports similar to the European Commission's decision, which is already successfully operating between Romania and Bulgaria. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a joint briefing with the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk.

During the talks, various aspects of bilateral cooperation were discussed, including the issue of unimpeded movement of goods across the border. The process of developing joint work on the border was supported by both sides, and Prime Minister Shmyhal emphasized that the problem has now been unblocked and the cooperation has led to concrete results.

Shmyhal expressed Ukraine's commitment to make every effort to support Polish farmers and carriers and to help remove restrictions for Ukrainian farmers and producers. The expectation was also expressed that Poland would take measures to ease the terms of trade and transportation restrictions for Ukraine.

The Prime Minister disclosed that Ukraine has already proposed a system of verification of agricultural exports, in accordance with the decision of the European Commission, which has been successfully operating with other countries. This mechanism is an example of effective cooperation and can become the basis for joint beneficial relations between Ukraine and Poland.
