Japan and Ukraine: joint efforts for global food security
The Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Mykola Solsky, recently held a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine, Kuninori Matsuda, during which important issues of world food security were discussed. This joint partnership shows the determination of both countries to solve global problems related to food.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the support and implementation of the "Grain From Ukraine" initiative of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi. It is planned that the second food security summit, which will be held on November 25 in Kyiv, will become an important platform for involving other countries in joint efforts to ensure food security.
Kuninori Matsuda, the representative of Japan, expressed his full support for Ukraine, stressing that even under the difficult conditions associated with the invasion of Russia, Ukraine remains an active player in global initiatives to support world food security.
The meeting emphasized the importance of joint efforts and solidarity between countries. In addition, the Japanese ambassador promised to assist Ukrainian farmers, supporting them in the important task of ensuring food security.
Mykola Solskyi personally expressed his gratitude to Japan for the assistance provided in the process of land demining and the restoration of the agricultural sector. Japan has shown determination to help Ukraine not only in global initiatives, but also at the local level, contributing to the recovery and development of agriculture.
