The implementation of the restored state program to support the agricultural sector continues in Ukraine, within the framework of which enterprises are actively attracting funding for development. According to the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, since the beginning of 2026, farmers have already received tens of millions of hryvnias in grant aid.
In particular, since the beginning of the year, 14 enterprises have been able to attract UAH 70.8 million for the development of horticulture, berry growing, viticulture and greenhouse farming. These funds are aimed at modernizing production, establishing new plantations and expanding agribusiness.
The ministry notes that farmers began to receive the first payments immediately after the program was resumed. This indicates high demand for state support and the willingness of businesses to invest in development even in conditions of economic challenges.
Of the total amount of funding, UAH 38.8 million was received by 8 agricultural producers for the development of horticulture, berry growing and viticulture. Another 6 enterprises attracted UAH 32.0 million for the development of greenhouse farming, which emphasizes the growing interest in intensive forms of agricultural production.
Deputy Minister Taras Vysotsky emphasized that the grant program is an effective tool for supporting small and medium-sized agribusiness. According to him, thanks to state funding, hundreds of farms have already been able to modernize their facilities or launch new projects.
In total, UAH 1.69 billion has been paid to 355 business entities since the program began. Of this amount, UAH 1.16 billion was directed to the development of horticulture, berry growing, and viticulture for 254 enterprises, with 233 of them receiving full funding.
Another UAH 527.2 million was allocated to 101 enterprises for the development of greenhouse farming. In this segment, all recipients are fully funded, which indicates the high efficiency of the program administration.
It is important that the updated program takes into account modern requirements and is adapted to the standards of the European initiative Ukraine Facility. This opens up additional opportunities for the integration of the Ukrainian agricultural sector into the European economic space.
In 2026, the maximum grant amount is up to 7 million UAH per project, but not more than 70% of its cost. At the same time, for enterprises operating in de-occupied or frontline territories, an increased level of support is provided - up to 80% of funding, which should stimulate the restoration of economic activity in these regions.
