Ukraine has received new opportunities for the development of agricultural exports: the head of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Serhiy Tkachuk, signed an agreement with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine, Ma Shenkun, which opens the export of Ukrainian wheat flour to China.
Tkachuk announced the signing of the document on his Facebook page, emphasizing that the agreement is an important step in strengthening trade relations between the countries and opens a new promising market for Ukrainian producers.
According to Tkachuk, the document is a protocol of inspection, phytosanitary and sanitary requirements for Ukrainian wheat flour to be exported to China. It defines clear rules at all stages of production and supply of products: from growing wheat to delivering the finished product to the Chinese market.
The protocol provides for full traceability of products, compliance with sanitary and phytosanitary standards, as well as regular state control. This allows us to ensure high quality flour and compliance with all requirements of the Chinese market, which is critically important for sustainable exports.
Negotiations on the export of Ukrainian flour to China have been ongoing since at least 2023. The signing of the protocol was the final stage of these negotiations, which paves the way for commercial supplies.
Experts note that the opening of the Chinese market for Ukrainian flour not only strengthens Ukraine's position in the global grain market, but also creates additional economic opportunities for agricultural enterprises and contributes to the growth of foreign exchange earnings for the state.
