Modern digital solutions in the fisheries sector of Ukraine bring a tangible economic effect. As the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy, Oleksandr Gaidu, reported during the industry forum, the eFishery system has provided about 170 million hryvnias of additional revenues to the state budget.

According to representatives of the parliament, this amount is the result of the consistent digitalization of fish resource management processes and the introduction of transparent auctions and access mechanisms for business.

In Ukraine, a systemic reform of the fisheries sector is underway, focused on compliance with European standards. The main goal is to create a transparent and competitive market where each participant can work on equal terms.

The implementation of the eFishery system allows significantly increasing the efficiency of industry management, reducing corruption risks and strengthening investor confidence in the sector. Electronic auctions and transparent control mechanisms make processes more predictable and open.

The forum also discussed the pilot project “eInspector”, which aims to modernize the work of fish protection patrols. Thanks to digital technologies, it is planned to improve control over compliance with fishing rules and reduce opportunities for violations.

The implementation of such digital solutions is part of the state strategy to integrate the Ukrainian fisheries sector into the European economic space, increase transparency and attract new investments in the sector. The results already demonstrate the effectiveness of modernization and a positive impact on the country's economy.
