Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates are working on launching a joint agro-food hub, which will allow processing and exporting Ukrainian agricultural products to the markets of the Middle East and African countries. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

During the presentation, the Ukrainian delegation presented the concept of a modern platform for storage, processing and logistics of agro-food products. The agro-hub should become a key element in the integration of Ukrainian producers into regional food supply chains.

The meeting discussed possible directions for the project's implementation and its strategic potential. Ukrainian and Emirati experts confirmed their mutual interest in continuing cooperation, emphasizing the role of the UAE as a regional logistics and investment center in the Persian Gulf countries.

The negotiations resulted in the signing of a Letter of Intent between the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE. The document envisages the development of cooperation in the field of food security and the creation of an agro-food hub, which opens up new opportunities for Ukrainian exporters.

According to the Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, Denys Bashlyk, agro-hubs will become a strategic element of the new architecture of food security not only for Ukraine, but also for the countries of the Middle East and Africa. They have significant investment potential and will contribute to the implementation of joint projects with high added value.

The parties also discussed key aspects of logistics, processing and standardization of products, which will increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian goods in international markets. It is planned that the agro-hub will ensure effective coordination between producers, transport companies and investors from the UAE.

The initiative of Ukraine and the UAE opens up new prospects for expanding Ukrainian exports of agri-food products, increasing the investment attractiveness of the sector, and strengthening the country's position in the global food market.
