The Partial Credit Guarantee Fund in Agriculture has concluded the first agreement with a non-bank financial institution to provide portfolio guarantees on loans to micro, small and medium-sized agricultural producers. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
This is about cooperation with the fintech company Activitis (LLC "Financial Company Activitis"), which can now provide loans to agricultural producers under the Fund's guarantees. This agreement became the first example of systemic cooperation in Ukraine in the field of loan guarantees through non-bank financial institutions.
The Ministry emphasizes that the initiative is aimed at expanding agricultural producers' access to financing and increasing the availability of credit resources for small farms. The new format of cooperation allows creating a more flexible lending system for the agricultural sector.
Within the framework of the program, Activitis clients will be able to receive loans for which the Fund will cover up to 50% of the loan debt. The guarantees apply to both loans for replenishing working capital and for the investment needs of farmers, which allows agricultural producers to plan the development of farms and modernize production.
Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Taras Vysotsky stressed that expanding cooperation with non-bank institutions is an important step in forming a more flexible and accessible system of lending to the agricultural sector. “This opens up new financial opportunities for farmers who need quick and convenient solutions,” he noted.
At the same time, according to Vysotsky, the program becomes especially relevant in wartime. New support tools allow to increase the economic stability of agricultural producers and help them respond more effectively to risks that arise in adverse conditions.
