From January 5, 2026, applications for modular granaries for agricultural producers will be accepted in Ukraine. This was announced by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.

The program is implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in partnership with the Ministry of Economy with financial support from the Government of Canada. The initiative is designed to support agricultural producers in regions where grain production is of strategic importance.

Farmers from Poltava, Rivne, Volyn and Zhytomyr regions registered in the State Agrarian Register (DAR) can participate in the program. Agricultural producers who cultivate from 200 to 1,000 hectares of land actively used for agricultural production are eligible to participate.

Selected participants will receive modular granaries with a capacity of 1,000 tons each. In total, this will allow storing up to 100,000 tons of grain. Particular preference is given to rye producers, as well as women farmers who have their own farms.

Applications for participation are accepted until January 31, 2026 inclusive through DAR. After consideration of the submitted applications, selected participants will receive a notification in the system with instructions on further steps and conditions for receiving assistance.

At the same time, the Ministry of Economy emphasizes that submitting an application does not guarantee receiving a granary, as their number is limited. The program is designed to ensure a fair distribution of resources and support those farmers who most need assistance with storing the crop.
